Clinical Nutrition

At Moonstone Naturopathic, clinical nutrition is a foundational part of most treatment plans. Nutrition can influence hormones, digestion, inflammation, metabolism, energy, immune health, mood, and overall wellness.

Our approach focuses on creating realistic, individualized nutrition recommendations based on each patient’s symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and goals rather than relying on one-size-fits-all diets or trends.

Many patients come in feeling overwhelmed by conflicting nutrition advice or frustrated after trying restrictive approaches that were difficult to maintain long term. Our goal is to help patients better understand how nutrition may be impacting their symptoms while creating sustainable changes that support long-term wellness.

At Moonstone Naturopathic, we often explain that nutrition is the foundation of the treatment plan — similar to the structure of a house. Supplements, therapies, and additional treatments may provide support, but building a strong nutritional foundation helps the body function and heal more effectively.

We truly believe in using food as medicine while also recognizing that every patient’s needs, lifestyle, digestion, metabolism, and health goals are different.

Certain therapeutic diets may be recommended for specific conditions when clinically appropriate. However, we generally try to avoid highly restrictive approaches unless truly necessary, with the goal of supporting long-term wellness and a healthier relationship with food rather than creating additional stress around eating.
